The Business Executive (TBE) Communications Group is organizing the 4th edition of its Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Awards. This edition of the awards scheme, scheduled for 2025, has the primary objective of identifying a pool of enterprises/institutions in Ghana which are outstanding with regards to their commitment to product quality (for the purposes of this awards scheme, this being defined as wholesomeness); to the health and safety of their employees, visitors and business affiliates along the supply chain; and to the sustainability of the environments in which they operate.
These awards are designed to recognize exceptional dedication to public and environmental health, occupational safety, and ethical practices that protect the environment, improve human lives, and enhance workplace safety.
This year’s version of the awards is made all the more topical by recent ongoing trends and events in Ghana such as the supply of expired rice to schools, the environmental, communal health and safety effects of small-scale mining and the sharp rise in the incidence of fire outbreaks in public places such as markets, schools and public institutions.
This has brought into sharp focus the need for private enterprises and public institutions to comply with the relevant laws and regulations with regards to QHSE to forestall the continuation of such unwanted incidents which put the lives and well-being of workers, students and the wider general public at risk.
Towards meeting this need our award scheme will identify and publicly recognize and appreciate companies and institutions which are doing this and indeed going further than the legal requirements to ensure that the consumption and use of their products and services are safe as are their work places and activities elsewhere; that the health of their workers, suppliers and customers are taken utmost care of; and that all their activities are environmentally friendly so as to sustain the environments in which their activities are carried out, production, distribution and consumption
The award winners will be selected by a multi-stage credible and comprehensive selection process, using established selection criteria used by our contracted, dedicated research consultants and ultimately our specially constituted Award Selection Jury of experts in QHSE activities, and underpinned by a quantitative points scoring model.
Nominations for awards will be invited by the general public, while self-nominations will also be accepted from enterprises that meet our eligibility criteria. No fees will be required nominees or actual award winners as the entire event will be financed by corporate/institutional sponsorships and TBE Media Group as the chief event organizers. Corporate/institutional sponsorship opportunities are still available for organizations wishing to reach a Ghanaian, captive audience of exemplary enterprises and institutions and selected stakeholders which regards to responsible QHSE activities, with their product and service marketing and corporate reputation enhancement messages.
